MORRIS SR., by counsel Michael D.Kvachkoff, and respectfully asks this Court to enter an Order directingthe Auditor of GRANT County, Indiana, to issue a tax deed, and in supportthereof, alleges that: 1. That the Treasurer and Auditor of GRANT County, Indiana,pursuant to the provisions of Indiana Code 6-1.1-24-1 et seq., did makea joint Application for Judgment and Order of Sale in this Court undercause requesting that judgment be entered against certain specific tractsof real property in favor of the State of Indiana, for the amount oftaxes, special assessments, penalties and costs due severally on them,and that the Court also order the sale of the tracts and real propertyas the law directs. 2. This Court did enter its Judgment and Order of Sale. 3. That the subject property was not sold or redeemed by theexpiration of the redemption period. 4. On April 5, 2023, the certificate of sale for the followingdescribed parcel of real property was assigned and transferred by theCommissioner of GRANT County, Indiana, to ALVIN V. MORRIS SR., to-wit:Pt E SE Sec 7 .35 A 16-31-8060, 8060.01 & 8060.0227-07-07-404-007.000-002Commonly known as 2220 S Marion Street, Marion IN 46953See Exhibit A Attached. 5. The time for redemption has expired. 6. The aforementioned parcel of property has not been redeemedfrom the sale. 7. A search of the public records was done in order to find thenames and address of parties with substantial interest. 8. The notices required by law have been given to each party withsubstantial interest in the subject property. Petitioner to provided anAffidavit in Support thereof in a subsequent filing. 9. Petitioner has complied with all the provisions of law and isentitled to a tax deed to the aforementioned property. WHEREFORE, Petitioner ALVIN V. MORRIS SR., respectfully prays theCourt for an Order directing the GRANT County Auditor (on the productionof the certificate of purchase and a certified copy of the Order) toissue a tax deed to the Petitioner for the above-described property; andthat the Petitioner be granted all other relief just and proper in thepremises.
