Put Some Spring in Your Scent With These Fresh Fragrances (2024)

You know that expression, ‘Spring is the season of new beginnings’?

Well, we’ve pretty much taken this notion and run with it these last couple of weeks – decluttering our skincare shelves, updating our moisturisers, and ensuring our SPF game is on point for the scorching summer ahead.

Where in winter we seek comfort in fragrances that wrap us in their warm, velvety vibes as we hibernate indoors, the new season calls for something lighter, brighter and undeniably refreshing.

1. Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato 33.

What: Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato 33 100ml

You’ll like this if you love: unique scents that smell good enough to eat.

This first one may surprise you. It certainly surprised me.

But hear me out, because this fragrance from Kayali might just be the delicious departure you’re after from the floral status quo.

While pistachio isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when I think of fragrance notes (nor are whipped cream, marshmallows and cotton candy - the base notes), they’re cleverly mixed with white florals at the heart and woody accords at the base for an unexpectedly slightly sweet, slightly spicy aroma that’s seriously addictive.

Notes:

• Head: Bergamot, pistachio gelato, hazelnut, sweet rum and cardamom.

• Heart: Geranium, white peony, muguet, jasmine, raspberry, white peach and pear.

At the centre of this delectable fragrance is green pear accord, which lends a subtle yet refreshing sweetness that’s akin to biting into a perfectly ripe pear.

The soft, creamy musks woven into its core add an unexpected depth, elevating the scent into a realm of sophistication not always found in summery fragrances.

So if you’re seeking a fragrance that captures the essence of summer without overwhelming your senses, then this might very well be your new signature scent.
