Every state lawmaker is at attention on this Tuesday, as Election Day this year has every state lawmaker's seat on ballot.

Unofficial Election Day in-person voting results are just part of the process to decide who wins. Substantial Vote-By-Mail ballot returns and results from a week-plus of Early Voting need to be tabulated, too.

The polls closed at 8 p.m. Results Tuesday night are unofficial.

District 1 (Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland)

All three District 1 legislative seats are Republican held since the last general election, and the three incumbents again ran as a slate for 2021.

GOP Sen. Michael Testa, of Vineland, teamed with Assemblymen Erik Simonsen, of Cape May, and Antwan McClellan, of Ocean City. All are in their first terms.

The Democratic Party candidates wereYolanda E. Garcia Balicki, of Millville, for the Senate candidate and John P. Capizola Jr., both of Vineland, and Julia L. Hankerson of Woodbine for the Assembly seats. Hankerson replaced Vineland resident Christopher C. Wilson, who dropped out in August.

The Libertarian Party nominated, in the Assembly race, Michael Gallo, of the Villas, and Selwood Jacob, of Cedarville, Lawrence Township.

As of Nov. 5unofficial results, Testa has 41,179votes and Garcia Balicki 22,452votes.

In the Assembly race, Simonsen has 39,594votes;McClellan, 39,215; Capizola, 22,944; Hankerson, 22,254; and Gallo, 565.

Updatedresults from Atlantic County in the Senate race are: Garcia Balicki, 348; and Testa, 1,255.

Updateresults from Cape May County, now reporting all districts in, in the Senate race are: Garcia Balicki, 11,844; and Testa, 24,401.

Updatedresults from all districts inCumberland County in the Senate race are: Garcia Balicki, 10,220; and Testa, 15,523.

Updatedresults from Atlantic County in the Assemblyrace are: Capizola, 366; Hankerson, 362; Simonsen, 1,188; McClellan, 1,172; and Gallo, 30.

Updateresults from Cape May County in the Assemblyrace are: Capizola, 11,712; Hankerson, 11,518; Simonsen, 24,073; McClellan, 23,703; and Gallo, 565.

Updatedresults from Cumberland County in the Assembly race are: Capizola, 10,916; Hankerson, 10,374; Simonsen, 14,333;McClellan, 14,340; and Gallo, 274.

District 2 (Atlantic)

Republican Sen. Chris Brown retired rather than seek re-election from the district

The major party candidates to replace him are Democrat Vince Mazzeo of Northfield and Republican Vince Polistina of Egg Harbor Township. Polistina is a former assemblyman.

Updated results in the Senate race, with all districts in, are: Polistina, 24,929; and Mazzeo, 17,801.

The four Assembly race candidates were Democratic incumbent John Armatoand running mate Caren Fitzpatrick, both of Northfield, and Republicans Don Guardian, of Atlantic City, and Claire Swift, of Margate.

Updated results in the Assembly race are: Guardian, 24,731; Swift, 25,061; Armato, 17,189; and Fitzpatrick, 16,349.

District 3 (Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem)

District 3 Senate and Assembly seats are held by Democratic incumbents: Sen. Steve Sweeney, the president of the Senate and a West Deptford resident, and Assemblymen John J. Burzichelli of Paulsboro and Adam Taliaferro of Woolwich Township.

The Republican Party nominated Edward Durr, of Logan Township, for Senate; and Bethanne McCarthy Patrick, of Mannington Township, and Beth Sawyer of Woolwich Township for Assembly.

As of Nov. 5, updated unofficial results show Durr with a total of 33,022votes and Sweeney with 30,933 for a separation of 2,089 votes.

Updatedresults from Cumberland County in the Senate race are: Sweeney, 2,321; and Durr, 2,382.

Updatedresults from Gloucester County, with all districts in, in the Senate race are:Sweeney, 20,385; and Durr, 19,763.

Updatedresults from Salem County in the Senate race are: Sweeney, 8,227; and Durr, 10,877.

First results from Salem County in the Assembly race are:Burzichelli, 8,036; Taliaferro, 7,529; Patrick, 10,790; and Sawyer, 10,711.

Updatedresults from Cumberland County in the Assemblyrace are: Burzichelli, 2,300; Taliaferro, 2,263; Patrick, 2,388; and Sawyer, 2,395.

First results from Gloucester County in the Assembly raceare: Burzichelli, 20,069; Taliaferro, 20,157; Patrick, 19,826; and Sawyer, 20,055.

District 4 (Camden and Gloucester)

The Senate contest pitted Democratic Sen. Sen. Fred H. Madden, of Sewell, against Republican Stephen H. Pakradooni Jr., also of Sewell.

As of Wednesday morning's unofficial results, Madden has 33,990 votes and Pakradooni has 29,521 votes.

Updatedresults from Camden County are: Madden, 19,249; and Pakradooni, 12,965.

Updatedresults from Gloucester County, with all districts in, are: Madden, 14,741; and Pakradooni, 16,556.

Democratic Assemblyman Paul D. Moriarty, of Sewell, and Democratic Assemblywoman Gabriela M. Mosquera, of Sicklerville faceRepublicans Denise Gonzalez, of Sicklerville, and Patricia Kline, of Sewell.

The Libertarian Party offered one Assembly candidate, Nicholas Magner, of Williamstown.

Updated results from Camden County are: Moriarty, 18,488; Mosquera, 17,930;Gonzalez, 12,880; Kline, 12,958 ; and Magner, 500.

Updatedresults from Gloucester County are: Moriarty, 14,113; Mosquera, 13,803;Gonzalez, 16,768; Kline, 17,047; and Magner, 589.

District 5 (Camden and Gloucester)

Democrats hold the Senate and Assembly seats in this district.

Democratic Sen. Nilsa Cruz-Perez, of Barrington, facedRepublican Party Clyde Cook of Oaklyn.

As of Wednesday morning's unofficial results, Cruz-Perez has 27,003 votes and Cook has 20,367 votes.

Updated results from Camden County are: Cruz-Perez, 15,497; and Cook, 7,684.

Updatedresults from Gloucester County, with all districts in, are: Cruz-Perez, 11,506; and Cook, 12,683.

Assemblymen William F. Moen Jr., of Bellmawr, and William W. Spearman, of Camden, faced Republicans Sean Sepsey, of Mantua, and Samuel DiMatteo, of Barrington.

Updatedresults from Camden County are: Moen, 14,920; Spearman, 14,659; Sepsey, 7,347; and DiMatteo, 7,632.

Updatedresults from Gloucester County are: Moen, 11,373; Spearman,11,283; Sepsey,12,634; and DiMatteo, 12,849.

District 6 (Burlington and Camden)

Democrats hold the Senate and Assembly seats in this district. Sen. James Beach of Voorhees faced Republican John Foley of Haddon Township.

Updated results from Burlington County, with most districts in, are: Beach, 1,927; and Foley, 2,118.

Updatedresults from Camden County are: Beach, 38,596; and Foley, 21,326.

Assemblyman Louis D. Greenwald of Voorhees and Assemblywoman Pamela R. Lampitt of Cherry Hill faced Republican challengers Ed Farmer of Cherry Hill and Richard Super of Haddonfield.

Updatedresults from Burlington County are: Greenwald, 2,125; Limpitt, 2,105; Farmer, 1,922; and Super, 1,870.

Updatedresults from Camden County are: Greenwald, 38,559; Limpitt, 37,788; Farmer, 20,640; and Super, 20,261.

District 7 (Burlington)

Democratic Sen. Troy Singleton of Delran faces Republican Michelle Arnold of Palmyra.

Updatedresults, with most districts in, are: Arnold, 26,227; and Singleton, 42,089.

Democratic Assemblyman Herb Conaway of Delran and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy of Mount Laurelfaced Republicans Douglas Dillon of Moorestown and Joseph Jesuele of Delran.

Update resultsare: Dillon, 26,534; Jesuele, 26,117; Conaway, 41,282; and Murphy, 40,790.

District 8 (Atlantic, Burlington and Camden)

Democratic Sen. Dawn Marie Addiego of Marlton was challenged by Jean Stanfield, a longtime Republican assemblywoman from Westampton.

As of Nov. 5results, Stanfield has 38,227votes and Addiego has 36,465votes. Stanfield's lead is 1,762 votes.

Updated results from Atlantic County are: Addiego, 925; and Stanfield, 2,375.

Updatedresults from Burlington County, with alldistricts in, are: Addiego, 31,263; and Stanfield, 31,385.

Updated results from Camden County are: Addiego, 4,277; and Stanfield, 4,467.

The Assembly race featured four non-incumbents, due to Stanfield’s Senate bid and GOP Assemblyman Ryan Peters’ decision to retire. That left Democrats Mark Natale of Evesham and Allison Eckel of Medford facing Republicans Michael Torrissi Jr. of Hammonton and Brandon Umba of Medford.

Unofficial results as of Nov. 5 show Torrissi with 38,999 votes; Umba, 37,631; Eckel, 35,462; and Natale, 35,298. The vote margin between Umba and Eckel is 2,169 votes.

Updatedresults from Atlantic County are: Natale, 848; Eckel, 839; Torrissi, 2,529; and Umba, 2,290.

Updatedresults from Burlington County are: Natale, 30,376; Eckel, 30,528; Torrissi, 31,832; and Umba, 30,963.

Update results from Camden County are: Natale, 4,074; Eckel, 4,095; Torrissi, 4,558; and Umba, 4,378.

District 9 (Atlantic, Burlington and Ocean)

Republicans hold all the seats in this district.

Republican Sen. Christopher J. Connors of Forked River faced Democrat David T. Wright of West Creek and unaffiliated "Best Choice" candidateRegina C. Discenza of Forked River.

First results from Atlantic County are: Connors, 5,304;Wright, 2,640; and Discenza, 64.

Updatedresults from Burlington County, with most districts in, are: Connors, 2,639; Wright, 980;and Discenza, 11.

Updatedresults from Ocean County, now reporting all districts in, are: Connors, 51,280; Wright, 19,979;and Discenza, 565.

GOP Assembly incumbents Brian E. Rumpf of Little Egg Harbor and Dianne C. Goveof Barnegat faced Democrats Alexis Jackson of South Toms River and Kristen Henninger-Holland of Little Egg Harbor.

First results from Atlantic County are: Rumpf, 5,217; Gove, 5,175; Jackson, 2,678; and Hellinger-Holland, 2,615.

Updatedresults from Burlington County are: Rumpf, 2,617; Gove, 2,605; Jackson, 994; and Henninger-Holland, 972.

Updated results from Ocean County are: Rumpf, 51,022; Gove, 49,877; Jackson, 20,042; and Henninger-Holland, 19,893.

District 12 (Burlington, Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean)

Republicans hold all seats in this district.

Republican Sen. Samuel D. Thompson of Old Bridge faced Democrat Joseph Altomonte of Matawan.

Updated results from Burlington County are: Thompson, 2,600; and Altomonte, 1,517.

GOP Assemblymen Ronald S. Dancer of New Egypt and Robert Clifton of Matawan faced Democrats Raya Arbiol of Parlin and Michael Palazzolla of Jackson.
